Broadway’s ‘dream team’ helps make an old ‘Play’ new

Don’t ask Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick to describe their indescribable chemistry.
“It’s pretty much dead,” Lane says. Broderick echoes him: “Gone.”
Lane, 58, shifts in his chair, just a shade of a smirk forming on his lips. “It doesn’t exist anymore.”
Broderick finally loses it. “We’re just shells of our former selves,” he says, as both begin laughing.
